In this series of works, fascinated by dead birds found on the streets and insects, I explore the unconscious layers of our empathy and emotional projections onto animals. What makes the death of one animal deeply affect us, while another leaves us indifferent? Does one life hold more value than another? What symbolic meaning do these lifeless bodies carry in our subconscious? From these questions and fascinations, a series of paintings emerged through which I seek a deeper understanding, exploring our human relationship with life and death.
